MEMBERSHIP IN FODL
The Friends of Delaware Libraries welcomes new members and we hope you will join us. (Warning: Membership prices will be rising later this year! So join now for less!) Why? We are the umbrella group of Friends for all libraries in Delaware.
We support all Delaware Library Friends groups by spreading your news on Facebook; we work with Friends groups to grow and be strong; we join with the Delaware Division of Libraries, the Delaware Library Association and EveryLibrary advocating for our Delaware libraries; we provide interesting programming for each county repeatedly. Look for news about that in this issue!
NEW LEADERSHIP IN FODL
The time is ripe for Friends of Delaware Libraries — Co-presidents Vivian Erickson (Milford) and Tiffany
Geyer Lydon (Delaware City) have strong skills in management and both are library lovers.
Vivian retired from the Milford Library leadership last year, and Tiffany is a lawyer, also president of the League of Women Voters of DE. They are bringing a lot of energy into the group. New Treasurer is Sue Gooden, a retired school librarian who also is the coordinator of UD’s School Library course of study. New as Secretary is Mary Chute, who was once Delaware’s State Librarian, Director of Institute of Museum and Libraries (IMLS) and New Jersey’s State Librarian. Welcome new officers!
